Claire's art speaks to my soul in ways words cannot express. It's a true masterpiece.

Mixing things up this Saturday morning and having a very satisfying painting moment using both hands to lay down my first layer on two new paintings. I'm not quite ambidextrous (I can't write with my right hand) but I thought I'd show this part of my creative journey, and how abstract art is made as I am able to paint with both left and right hands and often swap sides when one arm gets tired. This time I thought I'd do it simultaneously.

A little creative play this morning, no rules, just colour, tools, and a calm moment in the (kitchen) studio before heading out later.
I love the process of laying down the first marks of a new painting and this time I've decided to try painting two simultaneously. We'll see how that goes!

Another of my paintings that is currently on display at the @skergallery at Kenfig Nature Reserve.
The challenge for this painting was to create something festive and frosty and I knew I didn't want to jump straight into creating a wintery scene. After starting to play and seeing what was coming out of the canvas, I realised what could be more #festive than #fairylights
and the pops of colour that represent the fairy lights made me feel like I was painting the creation, the birth of them, very joyful indeed 😄✨
